Participation Agreement

Attendance at a ShutterFam experience constitutes acceptance of the rules and expectations listed below.

By registering for an event, you agree to the following terms.

Usage Rights & Photographer Acknowledgment

All models have signed the official ShutterFam Model Release. By checking the box at registration (“See Event Participation Agreement”), photographers acknowledge that:

  • They retain full ownership of the photos they create.
  • Model consent for image use has been secured by ShutterFam for all participating photographers.

This ensures clear, consistent rights for both photographers and models throughout the event.

Code of Conduct

1.1 Zero tolerance for harassment

Any forms of harassment, including bullying and sexual harassment, are not allowed.

1.2 Respectful behavior

Refrain from making inappropriate advances towards any attendee.

1.3 Reporting inappropriate behavior

We're all about keeping things safe here! Feel free to speak up and let us know if you see anything that doesn't feel right.

Communication and Consent

2.1 Tagging protocol

Models, photographers, and event hosts may be optionally tagged in social media posts and/or publications.

2.2 Public image sharing notice

Images created at ShutterFam events are intended for portfolios and creative use. By participating, all parties acknowledge that photographers may share images from the event publicly.

2.3 Wardrobe and styling consent

Obtain consent before making adjustments to models' wardrobe, hair, or appearance.

Participant Guidelines

3.1 Right to remove participants

Organizers reserve the right to dismiss any individual who violates the event's guidelines or disrupts the atmosphere, in which case a refund will not be given.

3.2 Conduct evaluation

Organizers will screen photographers and models for professionalism and conduct.

3.3 Attendance limitations

Additional guests will need to be approved by the host and will be required to pay an entrance fee at the photographer price.

Logistics and Organization

4.1 Payment policy

Payment confirms participation (unless the event is free).

4.2 Cancellation protocol

A 48-hour notice is required for cancellations in order to receive a full refund.

4.3 Spot reservation policy

Efforts will be made to accommodate participants, but reservations cannot be guaranteed.

Equipment and Etiquette

5.1 Equipment guidelines

Avoid bringing excessive gear or oversized equipment that may obstruct or inconvenience other participants.

5.2 Photography etiquette

Maintain respect and awareness while shooting, ensuring that your actions do not impede or obstruct other photographers' opportunities.

Event Collaboration

6.1 Collaboration expectations

Models are expected to collaborate with multiple photographers, avoiding exclusivity with a single photographer.

6.2 Content creation

Models are not to create content for themselves that interrupts, impedes, or excludes collaboration with photographers.
