A: A Photo-Event is a curated gathering where photographers and professional models collaborate, network, learn, and create high-quality content. Our events follow a rotation-based structure to ensure a smooth creative flow, giving every photographer the opportunity to work with each model in an organized, efficient way.
Q: Are photographers required to sign model releases to post images of the models they photograph at a ShutterFam event?
A: No separate model release is required. All models sign a ShutterFam model release specific to that event, and photographers automatically fall under that release by checking the “I agree to the ShutterFam Event Participation Agreement and understand the usage terms for all images created at this event” box during registration. The full agreement is linked directly beside the checkbox for every event, and registration cannot be completed without agreeing to these terms.
Q: Does ShutterFam own any rights to the photos taken during the events?
A: No. Photographers retain full rights to all images they create at ShutterFam events. ShutterFam does not own, claim, or control any photos taken at our events.
A: Additional guests must be approved by the host prior to the event.
Q: Do I need to be an experienced photographer to attend?
A: No experience is required. Our events welcome photographers of all skill levels, offering a chance to learn, collaborate, and grow in a supportive creative environment. With professional models at every event, the shooting process is smooth and beginner friendly for everyone.
Q: What should I bring to a Photo Meet?

Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: A 48-hour notice is required for cancellations in order to receive a full refund. If you cancel after that, you will not be refunded.
